FASOCANA is a musical project born in 2023 in Ottawa, Canada. Its name combines "FASO" (Burkina Faso) and "CANA" (Canada), symbolizing the meeting of two cultures, two musical worlds, and the richness of dialogue between African traditions and Western sounds. FASOCANA offers a mixed, lively, and vibrant music, carried by a unique instrumentation: kora, balafon, ngoni, djembe, flute, cello, bass, and drums. Each instrument brings its voice, creating a harmonious fusion between ancestral rhythms and modern textures. Through its concerts, the group invites the public on a true musical journey, between land of origin and host territory—a celebration of cultural union, sharing, and emotion.
