2026 Summer Ottawa Jazz Festival Ticketing FAQ

\n Please note: All tickets and passes are final sale and non-refundable or exchangeable.\n However, tickets and passes may be upgraded to a higher tier (subject to availability, and by paying\n the difference in price) by contacting our box office.\n

\n\n

Full Festival Passes

\n\n

We offer four types of full festival passes to the 2026 Summer Ottawa Jazz Festival:

VIP
Premium
General Admission
Youth

\n\n

Full festival passes include entry to all shows in Confederation Park, including the Main Stage and the Elgin St. Stage
All passes include some access to shows at the National Arts Centre
Passes are transferable, day to day
Some pass types offer both a digital or physical option; please choose the correct one at checkout
Physical passes include an embedded RFID chip for entry scanning
Lost or damaged physical passes may be replaced at the on-site box office for $10
Physical passes will be available for pickup in May (email notification will be sent)
Digital passes are sent via email as a QR code PDF and scanned at entry

Day Passes

\n\n

We offer four types of day passes:

Premium
Spotlight
General Admission
Youth

\n\n

Day passes do not include access to shows at the National Arts Centre
All day passes provide General Admission access to both stages in Confederation Park
Premium Day Passes include guaranteed access to the covered Premium Lounge with seating, prime views, and a private bar
Spotlight Day Passes include guaranteed reserved access close to the stage (first come, first admitted). Seated or standing room (or both) are offered, depending on the evening. On nights where seating is offered, chairs are provided and seating is first come, first seated, so come early for the best seat selection!
GA Day Passes allow you to sit, stand, or bring a blanket or lawn chair
Youth Day Passes (ages 11–21) include GA access at a discounted rate (quantities may be limited)

NAC Admission for Passholders

\n\n

VIP Full Festival Passholders receive guaranteed General Admission entry to NAC shows if they arrive at least 15 minutes early
VIP Full Festival Passholders wait in the same line as single ticket holders
Premium Full Festival Passholders may access last-minute seating, if available, after single ticket holders
Premium Full Festival Passholders wait in a dedicated Premium Passholder line
Premium Full Festival Passholders can use their credits for 3 complimentary single tickets to shows at the NAC by logging into their Showpass account that they purchased their pass with, adding any 3 GA NAC tickets to their cart and then continuing to checkout like usual. The first three tickets added to cart this way will be given a 100% discount during the checkout process
General Admission and Youth Full Festival Passholders may access last-minute seating, if available, after Premium Passholders
GA and Youth Full Festival Passholders wait in a dedicated standby line and are admitted after everyone else
Seating for Premium, GA and Youth passholders is based entirely on remaining venue capacity after single ticket holders and VIP passholders
Admission is first come, first seated for Premium, GA and Youth passholders and cannot be guaranteed, so please lineup early for your best chance at admission

\nEntry priority will be as follows:\n\n1. Single ticket holders and VIP Passholders (guaranteed access)\n\n2. Premium Passholders (based on last minute availability)\n\n3. General Admission and Youth Passholders (based on last minute availability)\n\n \n\n

Children and Youth

\n\n

Children 10 and under receive free General Admission at Confederation Park when accompanied by a paid adult (some exceptions may apply)
Youth ages 11–21 may purchase discounted Youth Day or Full Festival Passes for GA access at Confederation Park
All children attending NAC shows must have a valid ticket

\n\n

Seating

\n\n

Main Stage General Admission does not include seating; folding chairs or blankets are welcome
With GA admission, the Main Stage includes both standing and seated zones
Elgin St. Stage offers flexible seating for daytime shows and mixed seating/standing for evening shows
NAC seating is first come, first seated, except the front rows at the Studio reserved for those who have purchased a front row reserved seat

Latecomers and Show Start Times

\n\n

Latecomers may not be accommodated; arrive at least 15 minutes early
Doors typically open 30 minutes prior to show start times
Main Stage doors open approximately 30 minutes before the opening act
Seeing an 8:30pm headliner? Arrive early and enjoy the opening act to save your seat

\n\n

Special needs and differently abled customers

\n\n

Those who require a companion to attend the festival with them will receive complimentary General Admission access to Confederation Park
Please notify the volunteer scanner at the gates of your need for a companion and your companion will receive a wristband free of charge for the day
You DO NOT need to contact us in advance to take advantage of this benefit. Our volunteers scanning tickets at the gates will be more than happy to asisst
We do not offer complimentary access to Ottawa Jazz Festival shows at the National Arts Centre. Each person in your party must have a ticket to attend these shows
