Montreal-based saxophonist, composer, and conductor Christine Jensen is a leading figure in international jazz, known for her masterful compositions and improvisations. A three-time Juno Award winner, she recently won Best Jazz Album (Solo) in 2024 for Day Moon and released Harbour with her jazz orchestra, premiering it at Jazz at Lincoln Center in 2025. Jensen has earned accolades for albums like Habitat and Treelines, and her work Under the Influence won the Prix Opus for jazz recording of the year. She co-leads Nordic Connect with her sister, trumpeter Ingrid Jensen, and is a sought-after educator, now teaching at the Eastman School of Music. As Artistic Director of the Christine Jensen Jazz Orchestra, she continues to shape the future of jazz in Canada and beyond.
