Montreux Jazz Award nominees Brekky Boy are a powerhouse electronic jazz trio hailing from Sydney, Australia. Drawing on artists such as Tigran Hamasyan, GoGo Penguin, BADBADNOTGOOD & Robert Glasper, the instrumental outfit has carved out an invigorating original sound that incorporates elements of jazz, electronic, rock & soundtrack. Brekky Boy has supported Blue Note Artist Ambrose Akinmusire and formed the official Montreux Jazz Festival House Band in 2019 where they played host to artists such as Shania Twain, Jacob Collier, Bon Iver, Janelle Monáe and more.
This year the project was selected to showcase at the renowned jazzahead! festival in Germany, Tallinn Music Week EE and were invited back to Montreux Jazz Festival to host the acclaimed Jam Sessions. Other notable festival appearances include BIGSOUND, Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Sofar Sounds International Feature Artist, Wellington Jazz Festival NZ, Woodford Folk Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival, Mullum Music Festival, Wide Open Space Festival, Perth International Jazz Festival & venues in Japan/South-East Asia.
